"Feathers from the Forest"

Santiago, Chile
2007

"Feathers from the Forest" serves as a metaphor for the universe found within the small details of life. It is a journey towards recognising the harmony in nature across the world's southern latitudes. It is a path to encounter ancient cultures and preserve their timeless wisdom.

It brings presence and recognition here and now to our cultural understanding. "Feathers from the Forest" is a metaphor for the universe contained in the small details of life. It is a journey towards recognising the harmony in nature in the world's southern latitudes. It is a path to meet ancient cultures and preserve their ancient wisdom. It brings the perspective and the voice here and now to acknowledge our cultural sense.

Through the feathers of endemic birds, we want to signify the future of the contemporary world in its search for meaning. The feather is a natural construction expressing mystery, infinite diversity, and similarities. Birds, with their lives, tell us about our territory and its evolution, our future, and the fragility of our ecosystem.

The first inhabitants of our territories discovered and named, in their languages, the birds that accompanied them. Western science also named them by genus and species. Finally, contemporary popular culture is reflected in its voices in its own way of capturing and experiencing balance with the environment.
